Comfort clothes

Everyone has clothes they pull on when they're in the 'couldn't be arsed' mood. Be it, a pair of jeans, a sweatshirt, an old band tee or even a pair of fuzzy socks with holes in the soles after heavy wear. They might not necessarily be the prettiest thing in your wardrobe but you keep them around as fall-back outfit pieces. These clothings don't necessarily come with a history. It could have been a gift or a last-minute buy from the bargain bin, that is unimportant. What is essential is the feeling of safety and utmost comfort that emanates after pulling it on. It's like second skin and you feel ready to do anything and everything in it. Today, I am wearing some of mine.

Every single piece of clothing I wore today is extremely comfortable and has been seasoned by constant wear and use. Those shorts have gone skydiving and backpacking in New Zealand with me without a single tear. The red ballet flats on the other hand has had to be re-soled on account of being worn out from regular wear. These are clothes that I love. And I like to think that they in turn, provide much love (and comfort!) for me.
